It is a two-component set consisting of epoxy resin (A) and hardener (B). The two liquids are weighed at the specified ratio on a precision scale and mixed; then poured into a mold or applied to a surface. After a certain time, you get a glass-hard, transparent surface.
Smart is more fluid; it's ideal for jewelry, coasters, accessories, trays, and deep pours up to 2 cm in a single pour. Speed has a thicker consistency and cures faster; it's preferred for art on wood, surface applications, and top coats.
When you need a thicker/deeper pour, such as 4–5 cm in a single pour. With Smart you can pour up to 2–2.5 cm at once; deeper work is done layer by layer or with Quatro Maxi.
Smart for jewelry, necklaces, coasters, and deep pours inside molds; Speed for wood art, surface coating, and a glossy top coat. If you're unsure, write to us about your intended use and we'll point you to the right product.
In a wide range of hobby and art applications: costume jewelry/jewelry, decorative objects, trays and coasters, wood art and table surfaces, silicone mold casts, sea/wave-effect artwork, and much more.
It is among the lowest-odor products in its class. Even so, we recommend working in a separate, well-ventilated area.
No. The product cures on its own at room temperature; it is not suitable for curing with UV/purple light.
Yes. Usage instructions are included with every set; following the instructions gives the best results.
Resin (A) and hardener (B) are mixed at a 2 : 1 ratio, weighed on a precision scale. Example: 100 grams of resin A + 50 grams of hardener B.
Resin (A) is 2 parts and hardener (B) is 1 part, weighed by grams (e.g. 50 g B for 100 g A). Always measure with a precision scale.
The most common causes: not weighing the ratio on a precision scale, missing the 2:1 ratio, or a low ambient/liquid temperature.
Solution: Match the ratio exactly with a scale and work in a 23–25 °C environment.Mix not too fast, in one direction (e.g. clockwise). Scrape the sides and bottom of the container as well to get a homogeneous mixture.
Pour without waiting too long after preparing the mixture. Long waits can lead to bubble formation and early gelling.
23–25 °C. If the initial temperature of the environment and the liquids drops below this, curing slows down.
About 2–2.5 cm in a single pour with Smart. For deeper pours, proceed layer by layer (apply the second after the first sets) or use Wood Epoxy Quatro Maxi for 4–5 cm.
Pour in layers without exceeding the maximum thickness; apply the next layer after each one sets. This reduces heat buildup and bubbles.
Mix slowly and in one direction, pour from one side, and don't exceed the recommended maximum thickness. For bubbles left on the surface, you can briefly apply hot air (a heat gun) or a torch.
Yes; in surface-coating/varnish applications it can be poured and spread over the surface or applied with a suitable tool. For surface work, the thicker Speed is preferred.
It is colored with powder pearl/metallic pigments or our liquid opaque-transparent pigments. Pigment is added in small amounts to achieve the desired tone.
Yes, our epoxies can be used with alcohol pigments (usually dripped in for effect). We don't sell alcohol pigment; you can source it separately.
Yes. Opaque and white tones can be achieved with liquid opaque pigment.
Yes. Wave and sea-effect artwork can be created with pearl/metallic powder and opaque pigments.
Start with a small amount; as the pigment ratio increases, the color intensifies and the surface becomes opaque. Add pigment in a controlled way to preserve transparency.
Some surfaces that come out of the mold may be matte or cloudy. For a glossy, transparent surface, apply sanding + polish or pour a thin glossy top coat (Speed).
Our products contain UV protection and are resistant to yellowing. However, since application conditions and sun-exposure time differ for every project, it wouldn't be accurate to give a specific timeframe.
Since it has UV protection, it is yellowing-resistant. Still, intense and constant sun can affect any epoxy product over time; keep this in mind for long-term outdoor use.
Epoxy softens at high temperatures of 60–70 °C and above. It is suitable for contact with non-hot objects.
Hot contact is not recommended; the surface may soften. Use it as a coaster for non-hot use (the thicker Speed is more suitable for the surface).
Do not let it come into direct contact with a hot surface. When cured, it forms a glass-hard, transparent structure. Very thin/small pieces can break under a hard impact; thickness and casting conditions affect durability.
Cured epoxy is waterproof; it forms a hard, glossy, moisture-proof surface.
With the correct ratio, temperature, and pour, you get a glass-clear, glossy surface. If the mold left the surface matte, gloss can be added with polish or a glossy top coat.
A cold environment slows curing and increases bubbles. Don't leave the resin in the cold; work in a 23–25 °C environment.
Yes. It's suitable for wood-surface and joining applications; the thicker Speed is preferred for surfaces and top coats, and Smart/Quatro layer by layer for deep fills.
Yes, it is. The two components are mixed at the specified ratio and applied, forming a glass-hard, transparent structure.
Yes. The fluid Smart is ideal for costume jewelry and small objects. Speed can also be used for small objects, but keep in mind that it has a thick consistency.
Yes. It can be poured into silicone molds and objects like petri dishes/magnets. Use a suitable mold for easy release.
Yes. The fluid Smart is suitable for such applications up to 2 cm.
Yes, but the flower/object must be completely dry.
Moist or fresh flowers disrupt curing (setting). Pour layer by layer in deep frames.Yes. It can be used as a glossy protective coat/varnish on these surfaces; Speed is recommended for surface applications.
Surface-coating applications are possible. For large and thick projects, we recommend consulting us with your dimensions for consumption and a layer plan.
It performs best on dry, clean, and level surfaces (wood, ceramic, glass, etc.). Adhesion weakens on oily or moist surfaces.
After curing, it may contact only dry and non-hot foods (e.g. a snack bowl).
Contact with hot food/drinks and direct use with hot food is not recommended.Since epoxy is not heat-resistant (it softens above 60–70 °C), it is not suitable for uses that involve burning/hot contact.
The product is low-odor; even so, we recommend working in a separate, ventilated area and wearing gloves for skin contact.
During application, work in a separate, ventilated area and keep it away from children while liquid. The cured product is hard and stable for contact.
Consumption is calculated by the volume to be filled (roughly as many grams as the cm³ of filled volume). Example: an entire 25×25×6 cm area ≈ 4 kg; 30×40×6 cm ≈ 7.5 kg. The more objects you place inside, the less you use. Send us your dimensions and we'll calculate it for you.
For small jewelry and coasters, 750 g is usually enough; 1500 g–3 kg for art, trays, and medium pours; larger packages for tables and deep pours. We can guide you based on your dimensions.
Yes. As long as A and B are not mixed together and stored sealed and out of sunlight, it can be used for approximately up to 1 year.
No. Weigh and mix only as much as you need. Store the leftover resin and hardener separately in their own bottles, sealed.
