What is epoxy resin, and which epoxy resin set should you buy?
Power Time Epoxy is an epoxy resin seller based in Denizli, shipping to every province of Türkiye. Epoxy resin is a crystal-clear, high-strength casting material that cures chemically when component A (the resin) and component B (the hardener) are mixed at a specific ratio. It is used in projects such as jewelry, coasters, trays, wall art, clocks, river tables and wood filling. The key to a good result is choosing the epoxy that suits your project's pour thickness.
Thin-pour epoxy resin: jewelry, coasters and hobby projects
For pours up to 2 cm, hobby epoxies are the right choice. Hobby Epoxy Smart has an easy 2:1 mixing ratio and an ultra-clear, glass-like finish; it releases bubbles easily and, thanks to its high UV resistance, resists yellowing. For those who want results the same day, Hobby Epoxy Speed cures quickly and is ready for sanding in a short time.
Deep-pour epoxy resin: river tables and wood filling
Using thin-pour epoxy for river tables, coffee tables, live-edge tables and deep wood filling leads to overheating, cracking and yellowing. Wood epoxies were developed for these projects. Wood Epoxy Quatro Maxi cures slowly and in a controlled way, allowing a thick pour in a single step; it gives an ultra-clear result that works well with wood. You can find out how many kg of epoxy your table needs with the calculator on the product page.
Epoxy pigment paints: liquid pigment vs. powder pigment
Two types of pigment are used to color epoxy. Liquid pigment paints give intense, transparent or opaque color in just a few drops and are preferred for ocean, sea and wave effects. Powder pigment paints create metallic, pearlescent and swirl effects. Paints that are not compatible with epoxy resin can disrupt curing, so only epoxy-compatible pigments should be used.
How do you use epoxy resin?
Weigh the resin and hardener on a precise scale at the ratio recommended for the product, then mix slowly for 3–4 minutes, scraping the sides of the container. Add the pigment, pour into the mold in a thin stream, remove surface bubbles with a heat gun or torch, and let it cure in a dust-free environment at 20–25 °C. If you're using epoxy for the first time, you can choose epoxy, pigments and accessories for your project in one go on the build your own set page.

Frequently asked questions
Does epoxy resin turn yellow? UV-resistant formulas stay clear for many years indoors, out of direct sunlight. How long does epoxy take to dry? Thin-pour epoxy dries in 10–14 hours and reaches full hardness in 24–72 hours. Which epoxy should I buy for a river table? For pours over 2 cm, a deep-pour epoxy (Quatro Maxi) should be used. Can epoxy resin come into contact with food? Once cured, it may only come into contact with dry, non-hot food (e.g. a snack bowl); contact with hot food or drinks is not recommended.
Epoxy resin is a clear, durable and waterproof coating material that hardens when its two components (resin + hardener) are mixed. It is used for tables, floors, jewelry and decorative objects.
A mold is prepared, the wood is placed, resin mixed at the A:B ratio is poured, air bubbles are removed and it is left to cure for 24–72 hours. Wood Epoxy Quatro Maxi is preferred for thick pours.
Hobby Epoxy Smart is ideal for thin, clear work, Speed for fast curing and Wood Epoxy Quatro Maxi for thick/deep pours (river tables).
It depends on the package size; Power Time Epoxy offers sizes from 0.75 kg to 30 kg. Current prices are shown on the product pages.
The Speed series can be sanded on the day it is poured; full curing takes 24–72 hours for Smart and Quatro. The time depends on the pour thickness and the room temperature.
While liquid, work in a well-ventilated area and wear gloves. Once fully cured it becomes inert; follow the product's safety information.
At about 1 mm thickness, 1 kg of resin covers roughly 1 m². For thick pours, the amount is calculated by volume rather than area.
River tables, serving/cutting boards, jewelry, coasters, paintings, epoxy floors and various decorative objects.
Powder pigment is used for a metallic and pearlescent shimmer, liquid pigment for solid/opaque colors. Pigment is added at about 1–3% of the resin weight.
Choose a UV-resistant, yellowing-resistant resin and protect the surface from direct sunlight. Power Time Epoxy resins are made to resist yellowing.
Choose powder for a metallic/pearlescent effect and liquid pigment for a solid, opaque color. The two can also be used together.
The usual causes are a wrong mixing ratio, insufficient mixing or a low room temperature. Use the correct A:B ratio, mix thoroughly and work at 20–25°C.
Store it tightly closed in a dry, cool place. In very cold conditions it may thicken; it returns to its normal consistency in a warm room. Keep it away from moisture.
