Epoxy resin is a transparent, strong, and waterproof coating material that hardens when two components (resin + hardener) are mixed. It is used on tables, floors, jewelry, and decorative objects.
How do you make an epoxy table (river table)?
Prepare the mold, place the wood, pour the resin mixed at the A:B ratio, remove the air bubbles, and leave it to cure for 24–72 hours. For thick casts, Wood Epoxy Quatro Maxi is preferred.
Which epoxy resin should I choose?
For thin and transparent work, Hobby Epoxy Smart is ideal; for fast curing, Speed; and for thick/deep casting (river tables), Wood Epoxy Quatro Maxi.
How much does epoxy resin cost?

How many hours does epoxy resin take to cure?

Is epoxy resin harmful to health or toxic?
In its liquid state, it should be worked with in a well-ventilated area and with gloves. Once fully cured it becomes inert; follow the product's safety information.
How much epoxy do I need — how many m² does 1 kg cover?
At about 1 mm thickness, 1 kg of resin covers roughly 1 m² of surface. For thick casts, the amount needed is calculated by volume rather than area.
What can you make with epoxy resin?
River tables, serving/cutting boards, jewelry, coasters, wall art, epoxy floors, and various decorative objects can be made.
How is epoxy colored?
For a metallic and pearlescent shimmer, powder pigment is used; for flat/opaque color, liquid pigment. Pigment is added at about 1–3% of the resin's weight.
How is epoxy yellowing prevented?
Choose a UV-resistant, yellowing-resistant resin and protect the surface from direct sunlight. Power Time Epoxy resins are produced to be yellowing-resistant.
Which is better, powder pigment or liquid pigment?
If you want a metallic/pearl effect, choose powder; if you want a flat, opaque color, choose liquid pigment. The two can also be used together.
What should I do if the epoxy surface stays sticky?
It's usually caused by an incorrect mixing ratio, insufficient mixing, or a low ambient temperature. The correct A:B ratio, thorough mixing, and a 20–25°C environment are recommended.
How is epoxy resin stored — does it freeze?
Store it sealed, in a dry and cool place. In very cold conditions its consistency may thicken; it returns to its original consistency in a warm environment. Keep it away from moisture.
